There's something rather wonderful about stepping into a sunlit studio on a crisp morning, the smell of fresh paint in the air, and knowing you're about to spend the next few hours doing something entirely for yourself. That's the feeling we've cultivated here at The Seasons Art Class in East Croydon — a gentle, creative space where adults can finally pick up that paintbrush they've been thinking about for years.
Perhaps you've always wanted to learn to paint but never quite found the right moment. Perhaps you doodled in the margins of notebooks at school and wonder if there's more to explore. Or maybe you simply fancy spending your Tuesday evenings doing something a bit different, something that doesn't involve a screen. Whatever brought you here, you're in the right place.
What we teach (and how we teach it)
Over the course of 14 weeks, we guide you through four beautiful disciplines:
- Drawing — the foundation of everything, where you'll learn to really see what's in front of you
- Oil Pastels — rich, vibrant, and wonderfully forgiving for beginners
- Watercolours — that dreamy, flowing medium that rewards patience and play
- Acrylics — versatile, quick-drying, and endlessly adaptable to your style
We don't rush. Fourteen weeks gives you proper time to get comfortable with each medium, to make mistakes (the best teacher, honestly), and to develop your own artistic voice. This isn't a crash course where you're left feeling bewildered — it's a proper journey, structured but never rigid, with plenty of room for happy accidents and personal discovery.

We're proud to be part of the East Croydon community. Our studio is easy to reach, tucked away from the bustle but close enough to everything. Pop in after work, nip over on a Saturday morning, make it part of your weekly rhythm. There's something rather grounding about having a creative practice close to home — it becomes woven into the fabric of your life rather than feeling like a distant pilgrimage.
